This is a group project made in "Network Branding" course at SCAD with Nicole Lin and Jessica Liou. The objective was to make a show package for a TV show, including title sequence and show toolkits. We redesigned an opening title sequence of a Taiwanese telenova called "Rose N' Siren Eyes".

Original title sequence

The show is mainly about love entanglement happening between men and women. We used "Haunted Wedding" as our concept to metaphorically represent the love-hate relationship as a grave, reflecting the haunted atmosphere of the show.

Show rebrand toolkits for the show, including lower thirds, bumpers, stingers, and end credits.

Reference

Visual elements like roses, joss paper(spirit money), red lines, and divination blocks were used to symbolize a Chinese haunted wedding, at the same time conveying the show’s genre.

Logo Reference

I was responsible for creating a new logo design and animation for the show.

References mainly came from Jolin Tsai’s music video “Lady in Red”.

Logo Redesign

I was responsible for the logo redesign. I wrote the words "玫瑰“ in Procreate and added grainy brush strokes to the words in Photoshop. Lastly, I animated the words using an ink reveal effect in AE.
